Andrea R. Williams has loved God since she can remember. The daughter of Yvonne G. Williams and the late Rev. Dr. John T. Williams, she has always had a desire to please the Lord. Coming from a family filled with pastors, preachers, evangelists, deacons and Sunday School teachers, church was a normal part of her life. Her love for God and her talent for music ultimately morphed a shy kid into a singer, songwriter and pianist. Williams has sung background with such artists as Byron Cage, Richard Smallwood, Jeff Majors and Kirk Franklin (as a member of her churches’ praise teams). She’s also been blessed to have Ricky Dillard, Byron Cage, Earnest Pugh and Richard Smallwood as choir directors. With a head for business as well, she served in multiple roles including a GRAMMY Awards Project Manager, a Gannett Marketing Specialist, a Metropolitan Baptist Church employee and Christian bookstore manager and eventually an entrepreneur.

In 2006, it was the voice of the Lord that told her to step out in faith and do ministry and entrepreneurship full-time. Her first company was Tehillah Enterprises (pronounced teh-HEE-lah), started in 1999. The company creates campaigns that have placed Gospel artists on magazine covers, Billboard charts and award stages. Tehillah’s efforts opened doors for national appearances, endorsement deals, and opportunities to give back to the community through charitable causes. The publicity firm has done work for notables such as Gladys Knight and Paul Anthony of Full Force (for their Gospel releases), Byron Cage, Earnest Pugh, Anita Wilson, Martha Munizzi, Steven Ford, Alvin Slaughter, DeWayne Woods, LIVRE’, Damion Murrill, Psalmist Raine, the late Andrae’ Crouch, and many others. The company’s clients have been recognized with award wins and nominations including GRAMMYs, Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, NAACP Image Awards and other accolades.

Prior to her role as a full-time entrepreneur, Williams was a former 8-year employee of The Recording Academy (The GRAMMY Awards). She assisted in starting the D.C. Chapter - from the ground up - and making it the fastest growing GRAMMY Chapter in the history of the GRAMMY Awards. She assisted in the coordination of the GRAMMY Salute To Gospel Music Event for several years and held her own GRAMMY Gospel music event in DC resulting in a record-setting number of people joining the Academy. Also during her tenure at the GRAMMY Awards, she brought legends of Gospel music into the Academy’s membership ranks. Artists like Kim Burrell, Tonex, Tramaine Hawkins and Donald Lawrence & The Tri-City Singers became members at Williams’ prompting. In addition, through her efforts, Donald Lawrence and Richard Smallwood not only became members of the Recording Academy, but ultimately, served on the national board giving Gospel music a louder voice with one of music’s most influential organizations. A Gospel music industry insider, Williams has been cited in the Gospel Industry Roundup, The Bible of the Gospel Music Industry, as a “Mover & Shaker” in the Washington, D.C. area alongside gospel notables Richard Smallwood, Jacquie Gales-Webb, Patrick Ellis and Cheryl Jackson.

In 2000, she received the Yaw Buama Award for “Outstanding Contributions In The Gospel Music Industry” from Gospel News TV in Alexandria, Virginia. Tehillah Enterprises received 2016 & 2013 Rhythm of Gospel Award Nominations for Gospel Radio Promotions & Marketing Group of the Year. She was also named “Top Ten Hero In Gospel In Washington D.C.” in 2013. She is currently finishing up her Bachelor’s Degree in the Music Business from one of the most notable music schools in the world, Berklee College of Music. She is on track to graduate summa cum laude from the music institution in 2019. In 2017, she published her first book, Live The Life You Sing About: How To Live With Integrity In The Gospel & Christian Music Industry. The book peaked at #1 in the category of New Releases in Gospel on Amazon.

Sensing God’s call to expand further into the Christian community, Williams introduced Adoration Corporation to the world on Easter Sunday morning, April 16, 2017. With almost 20 years of experience in the music business and many more in music ministry, she is uniquely qualified her to launch this special consulting company. Using her gifting in strategizing, she desires to help church music departments, ministers of music, worship leaders and Gospel and Christian artists increase their reach for Christ.

Williams is excited to see this new venture grow. “I am thrilled about this new vision the Lord has given me,” she exclaims. “It’s all about reaching people and helping them hear the Gospel message. What could be better than that?”
